Hi, i was driving a rental car and had an accident. I got mild injured.
There was no other car involved, i was driving the rental car and lose control and balance, the whole car roll over and totally damaged...
I don;t know what to do with the car rental company next.
I brought an insurance for the rental car which reduce the amount that i need to pay.
but i have some questons regarding the occurance of the accident.
I don;t know why it would happened and do i still have to pay for the excesses if there wasn;t human mistakes.

A human mistake is your problem
A mechanical failure is the rental companies problem.
You may need to hire an independent investigator if you suspect mechanical failure because the rental car company will never admit to that |

Only the ins company can answer that and it can take up to two weeks to find out, they need the estimator to come look at it. Do you hvae your own ins also? They may pay the rest of it after you pay the deductable? Were you given a ticket?Its a pain my rental car last week was graffitied with a razor blade, I did not take insurance, I was told I have to wait two weeks to get told if they will fix it for free or I have to involve my ins for my deductable and then my ins will pay the rest. |

Well if you bought the insurance from the rental company then there is certainly a maximum amount that you pay so you need to read the insurance policy that you bought and read what it includes what it doesn't include. |

the answer to your question could depend on many things, including:
what country you are from, what country you rented the vehicle in, what country you were driving in, what the coverage you purchased from the rental company entailed, whether the accident was caused due to a mechanical failure of the vehicle, and if so, if that can be proven, whether you have your own automobile insurance policy, and if so, if your automobile insurance policy covers damage for rental vehicles in the country in which you were driving. |
