I've been teaching my younger sister to drive for well over a year now but she seems to get too nervous with tests, i passed my test in a different town cos i was living there at the time and i think it may be easier for her would she be able to take her test there as well and has anyone else done this for the same reasons?

I had to cause my home town didn't have the test centre, the closet was Swansea or Bridgend. I choose Swansea. |

Makes no difference where the test is taken - the standard for passing is the same nationwide. I am afraid she will just have to get over her nerves. |

Good drivers should be able to pass their test anywhere. If they can't they shouldn't be on the road.

There is no DMV in my town, so I had to go to another town. There were 3 facilities within an hour of where I lived and I chose the one in the smallest town to take my test at since I knew they didn't require parallel parking! |

my partner lived in the midlands, and came across to the east. he took two tests in the city centre where he moved to and failed, and took his third test at a different testing centre about 20 miles away from his new home city and passed. to be fair, he didn't really know much about either area, but the other town 20 miles away was a little less busy so was a bit better for testing. |

if u live in a rural area then learn to drive in a built up area/city...works well for me... |

Yes, you can apply for your test anywhere, but it would pay to know the test route, so she would benefit from an hour or two with a local instructor prior to some practice & a test. |
