Has the policy been exactly what you asked for and, if not, did they respond to correspondence when you tried to get mistakes corrected?
What was their telephone manner like (once they'd got your money!)?

The reason I asked is because they did not give exactly what was asked for. The details were taken over the phone and they made mistakes. The start date on the new policy is a day before the old one finished (meaning I was insured by 2 companies for a day) but then it ends on the wrong date, so I lose out. They also have details on the policy which I never told them e.g. they say the car is fitted with an alarm and it isn't and a couple of other things. When I 'phoned to get this sorted the woman was very rude and said if it said that on the policy I must have said that when I contacted them. I have written to them since and they have not replied.
I was not happy with the previous insurer but I now know the meaning of the saying "Better the devil you know that the devil you don't." My relationship with Sheila's Wheels will last one year less a day.

Well, It is very lucky you asked this. I have a female friend who went with Sheilas Wheels and was disgusted. After a dent in her car which she discovered when she came back to in from a shopping trip, she immediately called S.W up. After being on hold for an hour, she found that the woman, named Jane, was a very rude lady who didn't seem like she was interested in helping whatsoever. Eventually her problem was resolved, but I guess thats not the point... |
