Yes, they could ask anything that is covered in the highway code.
I took my HGV test 2 years ago, it's a very stringent test.

No you will have done that on your theory.
What they do is ask you to lift up the bonnett of the car and you'll be asked 2 or 3 questions about the engine etc. |

If this is the practical part of your driving test then they don't test you on the signs, just your driving skills. |

If you your taking the test to get your permit than yeah. There's 20 road questions and 20 sign questions. If it's for you to get your driver's license normaly no but it could be different depending on where your at. I took my driver's test in Florida and it was a just a lil road course where they asked me to do different things. Hope that helps though. |

they could do. What will you do if you encounter roadworks on the test route? May be an idea to flip through your highway code. Your going to be driving soon and it would help if you know what the signs mean. |

Sorry. What country are you in? I'm English and passed my test 2 weeks ago. Because you have to pass a theory test they don't ask you any questions apart from a few about car maintenance. Good luck anyway. |

Yes, they could ask you. Expecially if you did not follow one. When you acually take the vision exam, they will also give you a sign test. Which you will need to pass a certain amount to get your Drivers liscense |
