Help with a license plate from a hit-and-run?

I had a chevy silverado hit my 94 nissan altima and totalled it last week. unfortunately i have no collison insurance. (couldnt afford it-i'm a single mom with no help from anybody) ANYWAYS, i got his license plate number but police are not willing to help since i wasn't injured. How can i find this truck and this person using only his license plate number?????? i've tried the internet. they all want money and private investigators are too much money. HELP :(

You may have to file a police report, if you haven't already, and get a copy for a few dollars. Then you can take that to the DMV, or have an attorney do it on spec, and find the other driver. |
