International diriving licence is given in india, and you cannot get it while abroad, and it's valid only for the first yr. But many countries do not recognise it.
If you are in Northern Island (which is part of Great Britain) you can continue driving with your Indian Driving Licence during the first year of your stay (365 days since your entry into the country), later than which you need to have a UK driving test, and thereby your licence. Infirmation available in dvla.com
If you are in Ireland, you'll have to take their test. Sorry, I do not have that address, please google it.

The Royal Automobile Club are responsible for issuing Intentional Driving Licences. Contact your nearest office for advice.
As a visitor you can drive on your Indian driving licence for a maximum of one year less one day. If you wish to drive for longer you must apply for, and pass, an Irish driving test.
If you are becoming resident in Ireland you have a maximum of 3 months to take and pass the test. |

Firstly consult the DVLA if you can convalidate your license over, if not then you'll have to re-do the exams.
