It would be cheaper to buy a cheap banger and then scrap it once you're leaving, or sell it if it still goes. |

You cant rent a car at age 18 without spending a small fortune.
There are tons of extra fees for renting a car at your age.... usually an extra 20 bucks per day.
It would probably cost you like 1 grand per month to rent a car. Plus insurance. |

Only problem is most all the car rental companies require that you be at least 21 to either rent, or drive their cars |

Try easycar, i rented with them when i was 20, i just had to pay £14 young persons fee each day as i was under 23. check their websites, car rental is cheap with them too |

That will be diffult as most rental companies ask for people over 21. Best bet may be a short term lease. Try trawling google for lease companies and read their terms. Good luck. |

Hi I'm 36 (don't tell anyone tho lol) and only passed my test 6 months ago. I tried to hire a car recently and had no joy at all. Usually the big name companies want a hefty deposit and for you to have held a license for at least 3 years. I gave up trying in the end and bought a cheap runaround from the freeads (www.freeads.net and then type in your postcode). Mine came with 8 months tax and MOT and only cost £250. reading england or somewhere here in the states. i know in the states you need a valid credit card with your name on it and be 25 years of age to rent a car. even if someone you know rents it for you that meet that criteria and you drive it you can get that person in trouble if you get caught. |
