Hire Purchase Am I The Owner Insurance Company Needs To No?

Hi I have bought a car on Hire Purchase I need to get it insured but where it says whos the registered keeper thats Me but where it says "who owns the vehicle " ? is that me aswell as this is a Hire Purchase car & i'll be paying it of in monthly instalments they don't have a option for Hire Purchase but do for company or private leasing or do I choose other ? Please help Thanks

In the UK, you are only the registered keeper not the owner until you have paid off any finance, then & only then does the title pass to you.

I'd suggest you ask the agent you are purchasing the policy from to see what they would like there.

yes you are the owner and registered keeper.

insurance don't need to know the car is on hire purchase unless of course the car gets stolen and the insurance will then pay out the company you pay hire purchase to and not you!
