Dont even THINK about driving without insurance!
Not only are you breaking the law, but you could also ruin other peoples lives by your inconsiderate action.
Do you realise that, if you have an accident, and an innocent party becomes injured, by your poor judgement for arguements sake, then they do not have any claim for injuries, including death, hardship, loss of earnings etc.because of your intension to by-pass the law and drive uninsured.
You are below contempt. |

It isn't clear what you mean but no-one is allowed to drive on British roads without insurance. |

You cant. Having insurance is the law. |

Simple.
You need to be insured to be on UK roads.
If you get caught driving without for whatever reason, then the police will impound your car.

You are obliged to pay insurance. I'm pretty surprised you would even think about not having insurance. It's totally necessary whether for car repairs after a small accident or to pay medical expenses. My mum had an accident years ago and a young child was hurt in the crash and was in hospital for almost a year, how would that child's family ever afforded that cost without the person at fault's insurance to cover it? |

Simple dont own or drive a car.
If you do drive without insurance on the roads and you are caught you will lose your licence and have your car squashed. |

Just don't buy it. If you want to chance huge fines, legal fees and suspension of your license then roll the dice. |

You need a huge deposit with the dept of transport possibly about £!00K If you register the car abroad and do not insure for driving in UK it you are being irresponsible. Car hire is different but you pay through the rental fee for insurance leasing it is your responsibility to insure and will be part of the contract that you should do so. Insurance is not particularly for your benefit but to protect those you injure through your own stupidity. Don't tell me you never will do anything stupid on the roads. All of us lapse |

The only restriction on you if you do not insure your car is that you cannot drive on public roads - it's that simple. You need valid insurance to obtain a road fund licence - or do you propose to drive without that as well? If this is the case then why not save a bit more money and forget the MOT also? It is almost certain, given the technology available to the police and DVLA, that you will be caught. Your car will be impounded and crushed. You will be fined and your licence endorsed and I for one would have no sympathy with you. Consider also that if you drive without insurance and you are involved in an accident that is not your fault you will not have any claim aginst the other persons insurance since you were driving illegally at the time. |

Bottom Line Answer:
You can't. No matter where you register your car, it can't be driven with insurance. |

if this is the UK (I see UK answers) you can get an old car and get classic insurance on it, third party only.
I paid 120 quid on an old 600 fiat.
If you like to eat take aways, learn to cook pasta and at the end of the year you'll have your insurance paid and a grand more in the pocket.
You'll live 20% longer, too. |

on your bike charlie.
its simple, don't get a car;
if you have one sell it;
ride with a friend;
take a bus/cab/train etc.
hire/rent a vehicle.
seriously not sure about leasing may be the same as hire/rent but quite frankly it would be cheaper to pay out the insurance. |

The only way you could get out of paying car insurance is if a company gave it to you for free! You must insure your vehicle as it is highly illegal not to. |

if you want to drive a car it is a legal requirement to have insurance on it. if you insurer it abroad, you will still need to have a green card to drive it over here |

Hi HaTeR!
|
In California, if you don't provide proof of insurance to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) you can't register your car. Also, you have to show proof of insurance to the bank that provides the car loan, or your in breach of contract, and they'll repossess the vehicle. |

There actually is one way. Depending on where you live you can post a cash bond equal to the minimum required insurance. If you have an accident damages are deducted from your bond and you have to replenish them. |
