TBH there is no reason to get them removed.
They are "spent" for totting up purposes after 3 years and for insurance after 5 years. (longer for some things like drink driving).

If you are in the UK, after 4 years you can send your license into DVLA with a fee, the DVLA website will tell you how much and the procedure to follow.

hope this helps

they are on your licence for min 4 years but do not count after 3 years except the more serious offences like drink driving/ driving under the influence of drugs they are on your licence for 10 years.
dvla web site will give all info you need.

Assuming the points have actually expired, complete a D1 form (from the Post Office) send the form and your licence back to the D.V.L.A. with a payment of £19.

They will send you back your clean licence.

You wait for them to be removed. Depending on your state and the reason for receiving points it can take anywhere from 3 to 5 years. You can't have them removed.

When you get a ticket you have the option to go to traffic school (which is offered almost everywhere) it stops you from getting points against your license. The class is only 3 to 4 hours long.

Also, too, they may offer to put your ticket on the shelf, if you don't get any more tickets like fo 2 years or something, you don't have to pay that one.

Although my answer won't take the points away maybe it could be helpful in the future.

I'm in the usa.
