How do I pay off a Speed Ticket? Can a minor pay their own ticket w/o parent? Out of State record?

Hey, so I got my very first speeding ticket; however, it was 107 mph(42 over). IN WISCONSIN I got a pretty nice police officer though
1. I do NOT have to appear in court; i can just go there and pay it off
2. I never got my license suspended

-*I'm a MINOR, so I was wondering if I can pay it off on my own without a legal parent/guardian???
-*How often does Illinois check out-of-state records? <- Insurance
-Am I allowed to just pay in cash? How to money orders/cashier checks work???
- Can traffic school take it off of my driving record???
*- Do they send stuff home if I pay my fine weeks before the deadline???

Anyways, I know it was highly unacceptable to be going at this speed; frankly, I've never really sped over 100. So, yeah, I know it was extremely stupid on my part...but yea. =/

100 is even unacceptable, but you need to tell your parents because it's better you fess up than them find out because their insurance rates go up and yes they will go up now....as far as paying it off without a legal guardian I am not sure but I wouldn't think you could go without mom/dad....Best thing to do is fess up because then they will see you're responsible for your own actions and punishment will be less harse.....Happy Holidays!!!

If your ticket was written for over 100 miles per hour, or over 25 over the speed limit, it's just a matter of time before the letter will come suspending your license to drive. Whether the officer was 'nice' or not has nothing to do with it, WI law is specific on that point. Tell your parents as soon as possible, and see about getting legal representation before you have to appear, or you license WILL be gone.

Over 100 mph or 25 over the posted limit is one of the specific situations mentioned for suspension.

Again, you probably need to be represented by legal counsel when you appear.

You can pay it off without your parents being there. The insurance depends on who the company is, sometimes they do random checks etc., or if there is a change in the policy. Are you on your parents insurance policy? The only way it will come off your record is if a judge takes it off.

Yeah that was kinda foolish but who hasn't broke the law at any point in there life. I know I have many times. and yes you can pay it without your parents knowing but as for them not finding out your screwed bud insurence will be sure to let them now.. good luck

i would have to agree with the person who wrote you should tell your parents... i told my dad my first ticket which was a 69 in a 45 and he knew i was going to get a ticket just the way i drive but what was bad enough i got pulled over on my way to pay for that ticket doing 76 in a 45 by the same damn cop....well all in all ive been driving since i turned 18 and so far ive gotten a 24 over, 16 over, wreckless driving which is a ticket you shouldn't get, then i got a faster car my firebird and tried to out run a cop.....a motorcycle cop.... yeah he caught me gave me 16 over 2 unsafe lane changes no license plate on front, rear broken tail light and failure to change address on drivers license.......i learned one thing..... i need a faster car if im going to out run one of those damn cycle cops....... bad thing is im 20 now lol

My daughter was 18 when she got her first speeding ticket and after the Officer left her apartment the ticket was ripped up./
