I will be turning sixteen in a few months and my mom has agreed to buy me a 2010 BMW X5. The only problem with that is that i have heard that you can not buy insurance independently at 16. My father is deceased so i can't use any insurance from him. My mom does not have a license or a car. I wanted to know an alternative option for me getting insurance for my future car.

Put a licensed driver on the insurance with you. Or, go on a relative's or friend's insurance. You might have to wait until your 18. Hope you can afford the insurance. A new driver driving an expensive car will cost a lot of money for the auto insurance.
