How do i get my car registered in my name after buying the car from someone who was selling thier car?

Bring the title and the registration (even if expired) to the license branch. That is what they do there.

You will need to have a CLEAR title from the previous owner. Once you have that you take it to the DMV and register the car in your name. If the title from the previous owner has liens on it, then they have to get that taken care of in order to get a clean title. You will also need to have proof of insurance to register your car.

you should have the title, take the title to your motor vehicle, there is a form you fill out and then you will take it to the window specified title. make sure you take proof of who you are, ins. proof and tax, title, and tag money with you.

No need to have the CR transferred to your name to renew the registration. You can have it renewed, there is penalty since it expired last march. If you want to have the CR transferred under your name you need to go to Land Tranportation Office (LTO) bring the deed of sale with you.

Do you have the title? Take the title to the registration office so you can get your plates and tags. You can't do this without the title and proof of insurance.
