How do you feel the moment when you get car accident or car crashed?

In September 2002 my boyfriend (now my husband) was driving, I was in the passenger seat. We were in a small-midsized 4 door car when a woman in a truck deliberatly rana stop sign and broadsided us. It spun the car 180degrees onto a hill in which we ended up rolling over onto the hood. We did not see it coming because she hit the back driverside area. My husband doesnt remember much of it because he was knocked unconsious, but I recall going down the road like normal and all of a sudden being julted to the side and the road spinning. I heard no sound at that moment, it was all visual. I put my hands out, almost as if i could stop it, I know I made some noise. I looked out the window on my right and saw the ground (grass) come towards me. Now hanging fromt he seatbelt, I turn to my husband also hanging there, but blood on him and hes not moving. I instantly thought the worst. There is more to the story, but after it was all done, It took a long time for me to be ok. I would wake in the night sweating, crying and pretty much re-living the accident. I had issues with being in cars for a long time and to this day, i get uneasy while in the passanger seat but I am fine if I am driving.

Ive also had a couple minor accidents in the past and well it always seems to stop your heart for a moment and pretty much shake you a bit. I think if it didnt do anything to us, we would not learn from it.

I should know the answer to this question, because last week I was in a car-accident; and I was the driver.

My feelings just before the accident where, "OH ****! THEIRS NOT ENOUGHT TIME TO STOP!" and as it happened I was in a staight of dis-belief, and then like a torrent of approaching water; it all came into focus of the situation, and all I could say was, "****!" to my dad(who was seated next to me)

I've volenteered for the police force in the past and I've had a few experiences with incidents like this, so immediately after I came to my senses I proceeded to pick the phone from my pocket and dial 911; during this time I asked the car also involved if they where alright and if they where injured.

But again, in the moment... wial theirs like 3 phases in the moment, the moment just before an accident, the moment during the accident(dis-belief, like maybe you're dead) and then the event proceeding/realization.

It's normal to be under shock for few days. It will probably teach you to be more careful and you will try to understand the reason what caused it. But you will get better with time.

I had an accident at 140 kph, I was driving on the motorway quite normally and somebody hit me from behind for no apparent reason. I spun around 360 degrees and smashed the car up behind recognition. I was lucky to live and tell the tale. The luck was on my side that day but I was under shock and shivering......I am still under shock and it's been 2 years.

A horrible sickening feeling as I saw a car pull out in front of me, it happened in slow motion. Thinking about it, I can still see the bonnet of the car crumple as the impact took place and still hear my breaks screeching. The accident was 4.5 years ago.

I am grateful to be alive, an off-duty policeman couldn't believe I walked away from the accident with minor injuries (cuts and bruises to my knees, the impact caused my knees to hit the steering column, and a friction mark on my neck, caused by the seat belt). Thank God for seat belts.

Yes, shock is normal and it gets better in time. You probably feel a bit silly hitting a fence, but noone was seriously hurt, that's the main thing!

i crashed into a pole and the pole and wires came down on top of my car and everything. When it was happening it was a weird feeling, it happened really fast yet really slow at the same time. After I managed to escape the car and downed wires I was just in shock for like 30 minutes...i couldnt believe i just crashed. I was 17 at the time and a very inexperinced driver.

i feel shocked la.and i'm always feel worry even i have arrive home cuz i'm always think i will die when accident happen and i always think i will die even i arrive safety place. 4 ur information i'm always accident.but nothing happen till now.lol. so that's mean don't worry be happy.

Normal reaction. The feelings will eventually go away. Even sleeping on it tonight will help you fel better in the morning.

I would of gotten out of the car and start kicking the fence and the owner for putting the fence in my way.
