It's still your fault. Your insurance will pay for the damages to the other persons car. If you have collsion coverage, they will also pay for your damages (subject to deductible). Your insurance may go up a bit when it renews.
Slippery road surfaces dont make the accident not at fault. If the road surface is slick, it is up to you to keep a greater following distance.
Dont worry, if it's your first accident in a while, your insurance may not go up. |

You may still at fault but you can mention wet conditions, skidding and hydroplaning to insurance and police (if they wrote a ticket).

I think because the weather was bad, they will probably hold you both at fault unless you were following to close. Usually when there is bad weather, it is 50/50. But if you have car insurance, you should be ok! |
