How long can my attorney hold a settlement?

My case was settled in October 2008. According to his secretary, the funds posted to his account last year. Problem is I still haven't been paid? I'm facing financial difficulties and need my funds. Phone calls are rarely returned and tired of doing follow-ups. Where do I go from here to get my settlement.

Go to his office take your breakfast lunch and supper in a cooler and tell him you will wait until he writes the check! You might take a book also. After waiting for awhile start playing video games on your phone with the volume turned up. If that doesn't do it go the next day and the next all the while wearing the same clothes and DO NOT take a bath! And for good measure tell everyone in the waiting room why your there (just casual conversation) and how long you have been waiting for your settlement! GOOD LUCK! |

are you getting collection letters for unpaid medical bills? in your settlement the lawyer would be responsible of paying the providers.
if he is ignoring providers and you, i suggest you file a disciplinary complaint with the bar association where you live.
it sounds like he is in financial trouble and could possibly be using clients funds which is illegal.

More people are affaid to call someone out on things like this but just call him on his BS...

get on your game face/make sure you have your shoes reversed on your feet so that they hurt and see him in person/ tell him mr shyster lawyer get my money now or you will make an appointment with the judge and see him order shyster lawyer to show cause. dont leave without the check. if none of this works see another jlawyer and report the first one to the bar association |
