Usually 3 years. It's called double jeopardy. You pay the ticket then you pay higher rates on your insurance. Pay me now and pay me again later! |

Depends on how fast you were going. If it was a speeding in excess, this is a major violation and stays on your record for 5 years. If it is just a speed or intermediate speed, then it is 3 years. Most insurance companies count violations for 3 years, while others go back 5 or 6 years. |

They stay on for 3 yrs and but...if you want a perfectly clean licence (no history of points from 3yrs +) then you need to pay for the licence to be changed at dvla. |
