i failed my first attempt at my driving test ,and while i didn't really expect to pass ,(i wanted to see what it was all about and how far off test standard i was),i wasn't too far off test standard ,i put back in for another test which is coming up in another 2 weeks ,i am so nervous ,much more so than last time ,i just wondered what other peoples experiences were of thier driving test and how many attempt it took

oh if you are wondering ,i had 10 minor faults (in n ireland you are allowed 15)and 1 serious fault (i just skimmed the edge of the kerb slightly)

for me I passed after 9 attempts. Don't worry you will pass at the end |

I passed 2nd time and I think that was more down to the examiner. The 1st guy was stony silent apart from giving instructions and this really put me on edge. The 2nd time the guy was rally talkative, asking me about my job etc. Before I knew it the test was over and I had passed! Good luck! |

I passed first time but it was a long time ago, tests had been suspended during petrol rationing in 1956. There was an announcement on the radio that said if learners felt confident they could drive unaccompanied while waiting for the test. Needless to say I was in the car in jiffy and got lots of practice by the time the tests recommenced. There were not as many cars on the road then either. I am sorry for anyone trying to learn now. |
