i have a question. this is probably obvious but here goes....
I am in the process of renewing my car insurance.
my current documentation states i have 2 years no claims with them, so when i want to renew, and fill in online forms to get quotes, do i enter 3 years no claims, or still 2? i am confussssed!!!!

i have a renewal reminder but this still shows 2 years. so when does this ever go up to 3 then??

Your existing insurer will send you a renewal reminder which will say how many years NCD you have going into the next year. So whatever period it says on your renewal document is how many you have.
If you change insurer your new insurer will ask you to send a copy of your renewal document from your old insurer to prove how many years NCD you have. |

The renewal reminder you speak of is the one you've received recently? Then you have earned 2 years ncd, it'll go up after another 12 months claim-free. |

You need to enter 2 years no claims bonus if that is what is shown on your most recent renewal notice.
Your no claims bonus will increase to 3 years 12 months from the date of your most recent renewal notice providing you don't make a claim in that time. |
