well there are a lot of factors to consider. first of all the age of the drivers. if they have any tickets or accidents against them. and length of current policy. most companies like to have a 6 month period with no cancellation. also are you a homeowner. if you are buying a home it will qualify you for a discount. as well as a safe driver discount and if more than one person is going to be on a policy. and believe it or not, you car can qualify for a discount. if it has an alarm, abs system, and great crash test ratings. there are more safety features they look for as well. i drive a nissan maxima and a chevrolet monte carlo. i pay 128.00 a month for car insurance. i use a company called Direct. they are great. they even offer you a 10,000 life insurance policy for about 100.00 that you pay in your insurance payment. they even offer a prepaid visa for 6.99. only cost 1.00 to load and no monthly fees. so you see they are the best for me. call ask for a quote. it will cost nothing to ask.

Car insurance is definitely a product for which it pays to shop around. But keep in mind that rates depend a lot on where you live (kind of neighborhood, as well as part of country), your age, your marital status (especially if you're under 26), your driving history, whether you took driver's ed in school (if you're still young), and what kind of car you're driving.

I got a huge savings (almost 2/3 less!) by switching from Allstate to Geico. I would suggest you get quotations from at least 3 different companies.

You can also save some money, at least in some states, by taking a driver safety course (about 8 hours; often offered for very little money at places like public libraries). In my state, you get 10% off your car insurance for 3 years after taking the class (and then you can take it again if you want, and get another 3 years....).

In order to better answer that, you have to look at whole picture. Rates are going to be determined, by car, age of ar, age of driver, driver's driving record, limits of liability on policy, comp and coll deductibles, and optional coverages. It may be that for what you have your premium is actually pretty cheap. When shopping, make sure you are comparing same coverages.

2 vehicles, Mercedes C-Class & Ford Fusion. Full coverage, high limit liability. Would be around $50.00 a month if I paid monthly. 53 yr old single male, SW MO, clean record for 30 years now.

We pay $98 a month for two cars with Progressive. Sounds like you are paying way too much, unless you are just an awful driver. My husband and I are both under 25 too, I know that makes it higher supposedly.
