vogue SE range rover, 3.9l, automatic, 17 years old, first car. aiming for a 90's range rover because they're cheaper than a decent vauxhall astra or comparable yobbo style car. i belive a range rover is insurance group 14.

They simply do not want you in a car that size with and engine that big. Stats show you fit into the at risk age group so based on information on here you will be looking at premiums of 3,500 plus.
You have no driving history to offer them at your young age and the thought of you starting your driving career in something that big is really going to send any insurance company running for cover.
Have a search and look at the prices and then perhaps look at something smaller safer and cheaper to build up your no claim bonus with. |

scary, is the one word id describe it with...
Ok, Tom, a cousin of the brothers wife, is 19... he paid 8k... ok, it was a brand new, 58k rangey... but, the age of the vehicle in this instance is almost irellavent... its the 4 litre, fuel injection, with turbo, whicl will mean you dont get a lot of change out of 5k...
look for a series 1 rangey, 3.5v8 pref with a P6b motor... of the ones i had, it was probably the best... no sagging roof lining, no dodgy ignition system parts... and being a P6, you can fix them with old coathangers and snot...
and if you can get a pre 74, then its tax exempt, and classic insurance... look at 500 quid... |
