You only have to be 16 but first, you have to take driver's ed. Make your life simple, take your drivers ed online. My sister took it at this place.... www.eliteteendriver.com and it was easy. My sister took it at 15 years old and the lady at this place told her to put the name JON in the coupon code box on their website and it would give her 50% off......it did and like 20 of her friends did it also and got it for like half off and they all got their certificates and their certificates were accepted at the DMV when they got their permits.

Be careful, one of my sisters friends took her online drivers ed at a different place and never got her certificate....there are a lot of scammers out there. This place is legit....

Then you can shop around for the least expensive in the car driver training.....this is what my sister did. When you find one, they will give you a different certificate (white certificate) that says you are enrolled in driver training.

Then you take both certificates along with your birth certificate, your social security card, $28, and a DMV application signed by both parents to the DMV and take your written test and get your permit. Then you take your drivers training in the car.

You can get one already. However, you will have to take driver's ed. If you want to skip driver's ed, you can wait till you're 17 1/2 and get your permit then. That way you'll get your license after you're 18 and you won't need driver's ed. But I would recommend driver's ed anyway since you'll get cheaper insurance.

You can already get one. You can get your permit when you are fifteen and get your license when you are sixteen.

You can already go in and take the written test but they might ask for papers that says you was enrolled in a driving school but i waited til i was 18 and went in passed the written test then took the driving just wait til your 18 and it wont be a problem.

You have to be 16 to get your license.
First, you have to get your permit. - you have to go to DMV and take the written test.
After you get your permit, you have to wait six months before you can take your driving test for your license.
