20.... second go, was diffciult for me because im deaf and had a very nervous driving intructor, who he had to use his hand signals to show me how to change gears, stop car, turn left or right, slow down, faster etc..... and the examiner didnt do the signals, just used his fingers i failed first time so i had to redo the test with someone who dealed with deaf people taking tests before, so i felt at eased with this examainer, and passed with flying colours i almost kissed him ha ha
it was not easy for me but ive driven for more than 20 years now, and love driving so much!! |

Passed 2 weeks after my 17th birthday, 1st time. Passed Institute of Advanced Motorists test 10yrs later.Still enjoy driving 35yrs later. I was never nervous even when taking my driving instructors test at age 27. even now I still read everything I can get my hands on about driving and cars. |

I passed my test in 1990 on the 2nd attempt and I was the grand old age of 33. The first time I tried I suddenly had an attack of the nerves and turned into a gibbering idiot! My leg wouldn't stop shaking and I stalled the car 3 times. Then when I was asked to turn the car around only using forward and reverse gears - well! The utter balls up I made of that had to be seen to be believed. Six weeks later I retook the test with the same examiner and sailed through it! |

I was 16 when I passed my driving test. However, I didn't drive until I was twenty. Getting behind the wheel was really scary, but I need to get over the fear. |
