How should i convince my dad to let me get my driving permit?! I'm ready!!?

I'm 16, about to turn 17 in august. And my dad keeps saying i'm not "responsible." All my other friends already have their permits or is taking their permit test soon. Everyday, i take one practice permit test and i get minus 2 or less! I feel so ready but my dad is the only thing holding me back! How should i convince him that i'm ready?

well ok i know that. but how? They never notice the things i do, but when i do something wrong, it sticks out like a sore thumb to them. Its like getting 20 A's, but when i get a B, they point that out and ignore the A's. *sigh* i hate being asian sometimes :(

Well, tell him learning how to drive now, will make you a better driver when you turn 18.

By allowing him to teach you, he will able to make sure you do not develop any bad habits like ignoring signs and texting while driving.
