It activates as soon as your parents call the insurance agent and tell him you now have a license and need to be added to the policy. If they have not done that, you are not insured to drive their car. The DMV does not notify any insurance company that you got your license. |

In Pennsylvania, you must have insurance BEFORE you get your license. Sooo, IMO you should be good to go... |
