Just a curious question here. I tried when I was 15 to get my permit and I failed. My mum said it's just 5.00 gone if I don't pass. I didn't because it was just at random while we were out and I never even glanced at the book. BUT! I am a good driver. My step dad made me drive all over the place. I got about 3-4 years worth of driving in. I never went back to get my permit. I am 21 now. I WANT my license because I WANT a job. I NEED A JOB actually.
Anyways, considering I'm 21 I've heard rumors about how to get them.
One thing I've heard is, 21+ only have to do the road test.
Or... 21+ still need a permit for 6 months and then come back for the test.
Which is true? Of course studying the drivers manuel is a good thing.
But, which is it? I'm confused. I don't know if it depends on what state you live in. I'm in Alabama if anyone can figure that out.

I believe your going to have to take the writen & driving test, before you can get your license, Usally you take the writen test first ,then if you pass it you take the driving test, Pass both of them and you get you drivers license that same day. Here in Texas you pay 27bucks for three trys. |
