So im 17 and i have my permit and i read that i need to take a 5 hour pre-licensing course? what is it exactly? do i need to take a test? and after that do i need to take driving lessons? and well i want to get my license before when i turn 18 for college is there a way i can stil drive to school with just a junior or mimited junior license?

You cleverly forgot to mention which state you live in, and that can make a big difference. Try your state DMV's web site, or call/visit a branch and get the driver's manual; you'll need to study it anyway.
