How to handle my claim settlement with GEICO..?

I and my 19 year old daughter were involved in a collision with a drunk driver insured by GEICO. HE was 100% liable. Injuries include:
Myself: AGE 41... 8 fractured ribs , left leg will be scarred at the shin, concave scars over my lower abdomen . 9 wks of lost wages..I am a preschool teacher. I still have pain.( 8 months later)
My 19 year old: entire length of left arm is scarred from embedded glass. scars on left knee, burn scars to right hand. She is a full time student, and missed 1 week of classes..
We are currently writing our "demand" letter and would appreciate any input..

you and your daughter have some serious injuries. as a claim adjuster for majority of "whiplash claims" a lawyer is usually useless.
but in this case; fractured ribs, scarring, lost wages and glass enbedded in your daughters arm, burns etc is bad;
if you have not hired a lawyer, do so ASAP; since you state currently writing a demand letter, may mean you allready have a lawyer.
also; have you filed a claim with your auto insurance? do you have underinsurance coverage on your policy? your insurance company can guide you.
say that Geico's policy has minimum limits, then if you have underinsured coverage, your policy would pick up and pay the difference.
also; insurance companies hate drunks;;;;;;;;;;;;they pay more since they hate to represent them in court.
if no lawyer, dont make demand; if you have one, let him do his job.
