In the vast majority of fatality claims I have worked - at least one of the following things was involved.
1. seat belt. Always wear your seat belt. Not wearing a seat belt can result in you being ejected. In a roll over -- you can be ejected and the car roll over you.
2. alcohol - no drinking and driving. In many fatality collisions- one of the drivers involved had been drinking.
3. texting- this one is becoming more common. No texting while driving.
4. speed- speeding is one of the biggest factors in causing accidents. Of course, every driver claims to be doing the speed limit -- but the reality of the situation is speed was involved. Slow down. It's safer and uses less gas.
The best way to not be killed in a car accident -- it to avoid having the car accident in the first place. |

make sure you have plenty of halogen fluid and your carburetor bearings are lubed up good. Also, make sure your cigarette lighter is plugged into it's power outlet. oooooh, god save anyone with a loose cigarette lighter! |

Depends on the type of accident, type of car, safety equipment, etc. Just don't get into an accident! |

Seat belt.
Air bags.
Drive safe and keep a safe distance away from other cars on the road. Don't drink and drive. Don't talk on your cell phone while driving. Don't apply makeup while driving (you'd think that would be obvious... but...)
But who knows for sure? A girl in my city recently became paralyzed from the neck down in a car accident. Her boyfriend, the driver, walked away with minor injuries.

It all depends on what kind of accident. I always think that if I was about to crash into something or fall off a cliff I would army roll out of the door. |

Lets just say you get in an accident..how you gonna survive this accident? Depends on the accident, doesn't it? If you hit a diesel truck head on you're gonna die. No airbags, front, side- curtain or otherwise are gonna help you out. If you flip the car over you've got a 50/50 chance of living through it, flip a coin. Say a prayer......However most common accidents you'll be fine if you have your belt on. |
