I've been trying to get me car SORN for 3 months now. Keep filling in forms and phoning them over and over for them to say 'sorry you need your logbook first' WELL SENT ME MY BLOODY LOGBOOK THAT I REQUESTED AND PAID FOR 3 MONTHS AGO! Anyway short rant later she did it for me... Proves that they don't need the logbook number after all.. Tehehe
Have you had any problems with the DVLA? Did ranting sort it out?

Although she could only do it from 1st of feb so she told me I may get a fine for that, I just said good luck getting me to pay it... Ahh I feel good. =P

Hehe, nice to get it off your chest sometimes! I hate how there's so much responsibility on the individual these days but companys and especially the government can just do what they like. |

when you deal with government administration's, photocopy the document and get a receipt of postage for it, then there's no argument the onus is on them to prove non receipt.
Unless someone witnessed you post it or posted it on your behalf as your appointee or agent.
4 years ago had a similar saga with them not upgrading their records for 10 months re a change of ownership, in the end they allocated a vip box No for correspondence on this issue. |

I have had a similar problem however mine is slightly different
Filled in a Online request for SORN 1st Jan 09 rang them up on the 3rd Feb 09 to see whats up with it they said they had no record of it WELL i sold the car due to Insurance purposes and guess what 2days later the SORN letter came though pretty pathetic system i thinks |
