You must contact your insurance company. You pay them, they take care of it. They cannot up your payments during this 6 month policy, the insurance company sends out a claim adjuster, who is a specialist in determining fault. Its ok to tell the truth and you always should. The amount your insurance would go up is very very minimal and nothing to fear. This accident wont cost you a dime either ok, dont worry, if you need your car fixed, you will have to pay your deductable and if its say 500 then you wll pay that and they would cover the rest, but as far as her car goes, you do not pay a dime to get it fixed. Scratches in paint can actually be very expensive to fix, dont be shocked at a huge bill, they dont repair it, the paint then entire door and match two other panels is the norm so that the car looks undamaged. Im going thru this, a kid scrapped his name on 5 panels, they are going to paint 7, almost more than an entire paint job, Im lucky i get to pay the 500 for some punks graffitti.

Talk to your insurance company. From my experience, the company will do whatever in their will not to pay out. Here are some other peoples experiences you might find useful. Good luck.

You should have filled in your accident form with the time and location, the position of the cars and what damage was caused to your car and her car. And had her sign your form as well as you signing her form. If you did not do this and with the fact of you offering to pay, which amounts to an admission of guilt, you could have a claim for several hundreds of damages. You should never admit liability in any way. Only when there is a person injured is it essential to call the police.

hey , You have No reason to worry ... The insurance co will make a through investigation about the incident .. They cannot pay any claims without your knowledge and even then It all depends on what kind of a policy you have ...
The Insurance co. will get in touch with you ....

You need to report the incident to your insurer immediately. They will ask for your version of the incident, and her insurance company will do the same.
The insurers will apportion blame: If they can't reach an agreement, they'll assume 50/50 responsibility & you will claim off each others' insurance, although your excess will probably be more than the value of the claim.
Your insurance will then increase in any situation other than one where you're found to be 100% blameless: Expect next year's premium to be up to 1 1/2 times this year's.

Who is at fault??

You should contact your insurance carrier and report a claim. Either you do it and give them your statement or she will.

Seems to me that all the ethics & morals have gone down hill in this day and age. If your at fault stand up, tell the truth! This way there's nothing to come back and bite you in the butt later on.

You contact your insurance company.
They take details
They send you a claim form, you fill it in and send it off.

Simple.

Explain to her that you wish to pay for the damage yourself and for her to send you the quote. If they refuse then deny all knowledge and they can pay for it themselves!!!! No witnesses they can fish!!!
