well in order to get your licence you need your permit. you cant get your full licence in the US at age 16. in order to get your permit you need to read the drivers manual and take the written test. once you do that you can take drivers ed. after 6 months you get your junior licence, then once you turn 17 you get the full thing. thats the only way/easy way. |

go take the test at a DMV... you should go to driving school because it lowers your insurance rates and it helps... a lot. |

hahaha No you have to go to drivers school. You are 16 and you are expecting to get the license right away? Are you crazy? I am 24 and JUST got my license. Age has nothing to do with it hun. I don't think you should be driving clearly you aren't that smart. |

most people take drivers training when they are about 15 and are done when they are 16. in most states if you havent taken drivers training you cant get a license until you are 18 and your insurance will cost more |

first you need to take and pass the permit test. after you have a permit, THEN worry about your licence. i know in california, if your under 17 1/2 you cant get a licence unless you take driving school. |

you NEED to go to drivers ed and pass the final exam with no more than 7 questions wrong
then you will get the permit 9 weeks after that
after you get your permit you need to drive with your parents for like a year with no tickets or traffic violations to get your license |

it really depends on where you live. what i did was take the driving school thing online (i had to in order to get my permit) and that took like 1 week cause i was consistent. then tried to get my permit asap. |

you have to be 18 to get it without any school but still have to pass a test. since youre under 18 you have to go through the whole permit process which takes 6 months |

You should sign up for driver's ed at you high school, the process isnt that long and depending on your state you may have to get a permit before you can get your actual license |
