I'm an insurance adjuster and I handled a homeowners insurance claim once where a homeowner backed into his garage with his very high-end expensive bicycle on the roof of his car. They covered replacing his bicycle. So, if you own a home or if you live with your parents and they own, you can try homeowners coverage.

Nice try. You can't collect on the computer since you can't drive it. Now homeowners insurance is another story.

You would probably have to check with your provider. It may also be covered under homeowners/renters insurance. Good luck. Most likely they will both tell you it is not covered.

You can try to report it - but your goning to have to pay a deductible. I don't think they will cover it but see what they say. You never know until you try.

yes, but subject to your deductible, and counts as a claim. You won't like the overall result as you'll probably pay more over the long run.

HOWEVER, my homeowner's insurance has a rider on it for computer and electronic equipment, no deductible and covers dumb$%&^ mistakes like the one you describe. Check your policy
