I accidently backed into a car, but the owner doesnt want me to turn it in to my insurance?

Your deductible is for damage to your own vehicle. For damage to other vehicles you most likely do not have a deductible. Therefore, your insurance co will pay for the full amount of damage to her car with no out of pocket costs to you. But when your insurance renews, it will most likely go up because of your accident.
Tell her that you want to go though insurance. If she doesnt want to, then tell her your not paying her a dime... but you'll be more than happy to give her your insurance info.

That's what she gets for driving without insurance!

PS- she wont get in trouble for not having insurance. If the police werent around when it happened and then she is in the clear. It's not like your insurance co can give her a ticket for not having insurance. Might not be a bad idea to report her though. There are way too many people driving around on public streets with no insurance.

Don't pay her a thing. If insurance is required in your state, you may not be at fault (even though you backed into her). In some states because insurance is a legal requirement to have a vehicle on the road, if an uninsured vehicle is involved in an accident, it is their fault, no matter who hit who. I would contact you insurance agent and get their opinion. I absolutely would NOT pay her a dime - not even the $100 if she says she'll "settle" for that as deductible applies to Your car - hers is covered under your liability and has no deductible (at least where I'm from!)! No way! Call your insurance! Its not your fault shes irresponsible.

If your insurance pays you wont even have to pay your deductible (well, only if you get yoru car fixed)

It doesn't matter if she has insurance or not - go ahead and turn it into your insurance company - that is if you are admitting fault - that way they will pay her for the damages, and you pay nothing out of pocket. (You wouldn't pay her your deductible, that's what you would pay - say to a body shop - if you had damages and had to get your vehicle repaired).

Contact your insurance agency and let them know about it. It may raise your rates some, depending on what other history you have and what company it is. However, if you try to conceal it and it comes to light then they can get a little on the angry side. I would not pay a dime over $100 if you have a $100 deductable. The only way the other person can get the problem fixed is if she is willing to deal with your insurance company. You have been paying for the insurance. Don't waste it by not using it.

Turn your's in to the insurance or just ask them what to do because you shouldn't have to pay that much for yours and let her fix her own since she doesn't have any but that is why you have insurance your insurance might cover hers also ask them since it was your fault and all.

Either you turn it in to the insurance or don't pay at all. She can't take you to court cause (at least in texas i believe) if you hit someone and they don't have insurance it's automatically their fault.

You par insurence for a reason. Claim it and pay the 100 deductable. Its her fault she doesnt have insurence your not about to pay $400+ more then you have to because of that.
