My parents have allstate, I have health insurance, my parents signed the DMV form acknowledging financial responsibility of me, and I got my provisional license 4 days ago.

If you are licensed, under age, live at home, and drive, you will need to be added to their policy as a secondary driver. |

yes you do. since you live in their house you need to be listed as a driver. if you are driving and have an accident and are not listed, legally the company can deny the claim. its going to make their rates go through the roof, so i hope they are ready. if you have more drivers than autos on the policy, they can rate you as an occasional driver which will be better than a primary driver. |

Yes, Allstate has you list all licensed drivers living in your household. Being under 18 Your parents will be billed accordingly...... |

your parents should talk to their Allstate agent, and check if you need to be named on the policy if you are a regular driver of the vehicle. Many, but not all, policies will cover any driver in that car , if they are only occasional users, but some policies only cover the people named as drivers . |

What the HECK does health insurance have to do with anything?
If you live in their household, you have to be listed as a driver on their policy. |

Since you are only 16, you will HAVE to be listed on your parents auto insurance since you cannot sign an insurance application on your own until you turn 18.
So...make them proud of you! Keep your grades up and drive RESPONSIBLY!
