and if i get my motorcycle permit....does that make me keep my provisional license til im 19? cause thats what the women told me at mvc. i dont believe her. it doesnt say that anywhere in the book or online... please help

No. It should not change the original date of the expiration of your provisional license. Do not let them change it. They used to do it that way but it was changed about a year ago.

You can have the motorcycle permit and license but you will have the same restrictions as under your current Provisional drivers license and the expiration date should stay the same as it is now.

If in doubt, call the MVC and ask for the motorcycle education office.

Tom W: How do you know they changed the law regarding provisional license period. Where can a person go to read the actual law. Every person we talk to at various DMV agencies gives a different story, and no one can actually quote the law!
