I already went to court and they can't drop the points. The car I was driving was under my moms name. How much is my insurance going to be and what other consequences will I have? I live in New Jersey.

Ronald h is right; it depends on the company. Most companies don't routinely check driving records at each renewal due to the cost, but yours may check more often with a new driver. When it does see the ticket, your rates will go up, but how much we can't say. |

i dont know the jersey laws, but in texas when this sort of thing happens, the insurance goes up like crazy! around $75-$100 more |
