Older cars are generally a little cheaper to insure, as are cars with the following:
-airbags
-automatic seatbelts
-four doors (as opposed to two)
Pretty much, the more safety features and the less expensive it is to begin with, the cheaper it is to insure. Keep in mind, though, there are other factors besides the car that affect your insurance, so you may want to talk with your agent before buying a car. |

Make sure you post a big sign on it that says 'New Driver', that will really help out those around you. :-) |

call your family's insurance company and ask them. THey should be able to help, or at least give you quotes on various models to compare. |

Generally, the older your car is, the less it is worth and the cheaper insurance will be. |
