AA driving school. Top draw quality.
My experience of them was they were really friendly and proffessional. They push you slightly, but nothing you arent capable of.
You get a great car as well. You dont learn in a crappy 1l Corsa. You get a 1.6l Ford Focus.

On your first lesson just say to the instructor that you have never driven anything before. You wont be just be put in the drivers seat and told to go. You will be taken to a really quiet place with no traffic around and will be taught the basics of clutch control and basic handleing. But it will all be at you pace though.

I will warn you though, you will suffer setbacks, you will stall at busy junctions with everyone looking at you, you will hit kerbs, the instructor will jump on the pedals.

But this is the whole point of learning. Wouldnt you rather make these mistakes with a friendly face to get you out of the situation and to make sure you dont die?
Once you are driving home at the end of your first lesson like I did you will wonder what all the fuss was about. You will love driving.

If you go for the AA it might cost a little more, but the quality is worth it. I learnt in 4 months with them, one lesson a week.

Just bite the bullet and do it. You will not regret it. I promise you. Everyone is nervous to start with, everyone loves it 30 seconds after they start.

just do it. An instructor wont rush you, just take it step by step and the more you drive the more confident you will get.

Study the vehicle driving hand book. Please attend a driving school--longer in duration the better..
Go to the pay GO-Kart track and spend a lot of time driving.. Turning --stopping and not running into stuff.. Remember you have no experience ask for help at the Go-Kart track...
Might have a new hobby racing...

listen to your instructor and ask questions the instructor should build your confidence up ,do not forget they will not let you crash the car they have dual controls and should use them only if it is necessary

Play some driving simulators that will simiulate rear driving conditions and effects.
After that get a family member or friend to take you to a empty parking lot and practice untill your confident you hit the roads.

Take lessons. Drive around with a friend and pay attention to what they do. It is not scary. I taught my sister to drive when she was 3 years old.

i was the same way, i thought i'd never be able to drive. you just have to force yourself, once you start, you'll get more confident, and it will get better it just takes time, and bravery. just make yourself do it is all i can say.

don't be nervous...that is the first and most important thing to remember. It is not difficult to do. Just drive around with a friend driving and observe what they do (unless they are a bad driver lol). Next have someone bring you to a parking lot and get used to driving and braking. Make simulations in the parking lot such as a stop light or stop sign. Then take professional lessons. After you've done all of the parking lot things the lessons should be a walk in the park....Good Luck!

Take driving lessons with a top grade professional driving instructor.Driving lessons south east London

Take the lessons. That's why a professional is there. Because of scary unfailure people, that don't know how to drive.
They know how to comfort you and tell you to take a hike if you are to much of a ninny and may cause accidents that will kill people.

Good Luck.
My son took the test 9 times. He would freeze up at testing time and stop right in the middle of an intersection, blocking traffic. He finally got his license. But after a few fender benders, he's learned to stop hitting people, even though he has the right of way.

If my son can do it. A Caveman can do it. (chuckle)

I have recently started driving in USA and I was also very nervous , infact I am still not that confortable, but yes I have started and even drove on freeways for 3-4 times. It's more difficult when you drive on city as compared to driving onfreeways . But my suggestion would be to start driving on city roads first for 3-4 times before taking freeways.

If you are very nervous start practising in some parking lots or empty ground (but be attentive) then slowly take out. Especially in the know area.

Take it as a challenge. Think this way that there is nothing that you can't do.

hope this will help

All depends on your age really,i was a late learner, over 40.I was really scared but i just plodded on with the lessons and you soon gain confidence, then all you worry about is the test.So dont worry about the driving,it really becomes easy after a bit .

Take lessons with a driving instructor, tell your worries and they help you with your confidence.
