I am trying to find the legal definition of an improper pass in the state of Maine. I recently got a ticket for an "improper pass," however when I began the pass the line was broken, but had just become solid when I completed the pass. I argued with the cop who could not clearly tell me why it was an inproper pass. I plan to contest the ticket so I need to locate the legal defintion of an improper pass in the state of Maine. Any help would be appreciated!

Do an internet search for the definition of the word or use a legal dictionary. I would also take pictures of the area you were stopped, and the exact location in question on the ticket; so you have proof to help substantiate your case. Also have a quick but to the point presentation of your case when standing before the judge, this usually intimidates the prosecution if you have done your homework and have documentation. Good luck.
