I am 2 months over 15 and a half. I am planning on taking driver's ed online. I can take the test after I pass that right?

No i live in california too I am 16 and currently have my permit. After you take drivers ed then you have to PAY for drivers training (behind the wheel) And after that you can take your permit test. Once you've passed the permit test then you start taking the drivers training. Once you've taken your first class then your permit will be valid and the six months will start.
