but i am really nervous that if i fail i wont be able to take it until im like 15 and 9 months
if i fail will they let me take it again?

The minimum age in NC is 15, so you will not have to wait until you are 15 years 9 months.
You can start the process of getting your Driver's Ed requirement taken care of at 14 1/2. This is probably what you will be doing this summer is taking D.E. Then once you turn 15, you will go to the DMV, take all of the applicable tests, (PASS them- right?) & be issued your permit.
