the thing is the cost is $2000+, money i don't have... He comes from a wealthy family. I'm asking legally, he was parked illegally in a cultasac. Does anyone have anything they could prove that i do/dont pay him.

Even if his car was parked illegally, it's still a 1000lb hazard that's there to be seen.
There is no "but his car should not have been there for me to hit" defense.
The fact his family is wealthy does not give you a free pass either. It has no bearing on the issue.
If you hit his car with your car, file it under your auto policy.
If you did not hit it with a car, talk to your agent and see if your homeowners policy would provide coverage. Depending on what happened....it may. Worth a phone call anyway to find out. |

I personally don't think it matters how he was parked, if you broke it off it is your fault. How would you answer this question if it was the other way around and your friend broke your mirror off? |
