I am 16 and I dont want my parents knowing that I got a speeding ticket, so I live in Arizona where the rule is you get no insurance points if you take the defensive driver's course. But will it say I took the class / still got a ticket on insurance when the renewal is mailed to them?

Maybe if you get another ticket within a specified time. Ask your judge. |

be careful check with your insurance provider...i know how you feel..i got a ticket a while ago for speeding and i took the course but it still showed up on the report......check with them..some of them will put it on some will not. They usually don't but check anyways cause i know how it feels to get caught. |

im not sure how it works over there but i know that in california, it will show that you got a ticket but that you took a defensive driving course. so that way the insurance wont go up. sorry man but if its the same there then they might find out. my dad was in the same predicament. |

yes,no matter what you do,that ticket will still be on your driver abstract (which is your driveing record) Im pretty sure your insurance will go up still,but then again,Im not an insurance broker.But I know for sure that the ticket will still be on the record..some towns have circuit clerk websites that you can pay fines online,see if your county has one,sometimes you can see ur driveing record for that county online. In illinois,theres a county called dupage county if u go to www.dupagecase.com you can look up tickets and stuff online |

if the police look it up. but i dont think that your parents will know. but you should still tell them. and i know i sound like one of those people who is like, "always do the right thing" but i am being a little hypocritical here. and noone will be able to use it against you. |

I thought that speeding offenses affected the license, not the insurance of the car you are driving if not your own. It may affect your insurance when you take one. And the insurance report of the owner, because if you are caught speeding when you are only learning to drive, I guess the reponsibility will have to be taken by the person who was with you at that time. |
