I got in an auto accident!! What are my options??

You have insurance, right? Did you report the accident? Did the person who cut you off stop and were the police called? Usually the insurance companies will figure it out (with the help of a police report, if filed). If you don't have the other person's info, I'm not sure what your options are.

If all you want is to know what options you have for the car then ask yourself how you use the car, work, pleasure, or just shopping. How much damage is there? Do you know what it will cost to fix it? On, and On.
Give more details about the accident and results to the car. You can sell the car to a 'junk' dealer or donate it and take a big tax write off, If you know the other car owners name and address take them to small claims court. Other than that try to get someone to buy used parts and fix your car.

Unless you paid the car off, you have full coverage insurance. The policy will cover the cost of correctly repairing it. Some companies will cover full replacement on cars less than a year old if it is totaled.

If this vehicle was insured which it should be, then hoping you called the police to get a police report filed, you call your insurance and report the accident. See if they can tow it somewhere their adjustor can appraise the worthiness of the car. If it's undriveable, they may total the vehicle and give you the book value of the car providing you would have carried the full value if you took out a loan for it. In either case, you will have paid off the lien on the car with the insurance money and can go out and look for another car with another loan. If this car was paid off, then you can go ahead and look for another vehicle to purchase hoping you had full coverage. How quickly this gets processed will depend on your insurance carrier, since there is someone else in the accident.

you should have waited til the police come and record the scene.
Now i hope you have some pictures taken to support your description of what happened there.
sometimes when you got cut off, it might be you at fault.
depends on where you live, there is a maximum amount of insurance coverage. In Saskatchewan where i live, the maximum coverage for basic insurance in 20,000 dollars, which means the most money they will pay is 20,000. no more than that.
in your case, you have your brand new 2007 car, it worth more than 20,000. So, the best thing you do is to NOT total it, but to fix it make it drivable and sell it. that way you lose the least amount of money. If you total it, you will get no more than the maximum coverage.

This may not be the best answer, but I'm just keeping it real, You can have the car stolen or burned and the insurance company will pay it off.Scandalous, but true, Hopefully u had full coverage insurance, and if that is the case, it should cover the damages. Read ur coverage packet, it may possibly pay for a rental, while the car is being repaired.
