If you have collision coverage they probably will. It's Brakes, not breaks

It depends on what kind of insurance you have. If you have a policy that has full coverage, they will normally give you what the blue book value of the car is, or if yu have a policy that just has liability, then no, you get nothing. It also depends on the limits of your policy. For examply, if you have collision/physical damage in the amount of 10,000.00 and it going to cost 12,000.00 to fix it, you only get the ten grand. So, if you have collision coverage, your going to get either what the car is worth, or the total amount to fix it, as long as it is with in the limits of your policy. Speak with your agent. They should be able to help you.

Providing you have fully comprehensive insurance, if your car is a 'write-off', they'll pay an amount equal to the present market value of that particular car. If it's still economically viable to fix it, they'll pay for the damages to the car - as well as damages to other vehicles.

If your insurance is third-party, or third-party, fire and theft, damages to for other vehicles will be paid. You'll get nothing.

Regardless of your policy, you'll have to pay excess (an amount towards the total), unless your insurance has no excess stipulated by your policy.

If you have collision coverage on your policy, the insurance company will pay for your vehicle at market value and for the other vehicles involved. Collision coverage is a lot cheaper than years ago. Liability coverage is much higher although very necessary.

Your brakes probably worked but you probably skidded on the slick roadway. A lesson to drive slower in these conditions and keep your distance as much as possible, allowing you to respond and hopefully avoid a crash.

that will depend on how much coverage you paid for in your insurance plan.

Of you have third party fire and theft insurance - you get nothing for yourself - although your insurance will still have to pay for the damage to the other vehicles and any injuries compensation to other persons who were hurt (whiplash for instance).....
If you have fully comp insurance then you will also get the market value of your car as the insurance company assess it - book value to you and me .... your injuries (if any) may not be claimable because your caused the accident .....
You may want to have your car checked to find out why the brakes were faulty and didn't work - could you have known in advance of the accident that the brakes needed seeing to? .... if it is shown that you were negligent in your care of the car you could be liable to prosecution by the police for driving an unroadworthy vehicle.... if on the other hand you've had the car serviced, and the brakes were part of that service (less than three months) then you may have a claim against the person(s) (assuming they are/were a bona fide company/business) for negligence in their work ..... or the manufacturers of the brakes and/or brake pads if the brakes were recently renewed - you really need to get some legal advice .....
