i got into a car accident and it was my fault. The guy had a fairly new truck probably around a 2000 and the damage wasn't to bad. Just the fender and bumper damage for the most part. Well i see the guy the other day and he is driving a brand new truck. My insurance doesn't pay for him to get a new truck does it when it wasn't totaled. Or does it just pay to fix the current truck?

It pays for the damage you caused up to the Actual Cash Value of the vehicle.

Trust me, he did not get a NEW truck from the insurance company even if it was totaled.

could be a rental
or he just has anohter vehicle

Don't worry... Your insurance company will not pay too much. He could have sold the truck, or any number of things, luckily no one was hurt.

its good to know

its most likely a rental that the insurance company pays for when his truck is in the shop getting fixed.
