I got into an accident with a pedestrian, how serious it is?

I took right turn on two way street. I found one vehicle coming so fast toward me and close to me. It was not on my side of yellow line, but was to close. I pushed my car right side and hit one person(who was standing near his car on street parking) from right side(not direct hit) and he felt down. I could not talk with that person as i got stuck in my car. But as per police report he was complaining about pain on his right arm and right leg. I have insurance with 25k limit per peron/ 50k limit per accident. I don't know what happened to that person.
Do i need to worry much about it? Is it really too serious? What should i keep in mind? What should i do?What should not i do?

Let your insurance handle it. Your limits are fine based details of the accident(don't ever tell anyone your policy limits by the way). You can apologize to the guy of you want but don't discuss the accident. |

sorry to hear about that. but worrying about the other person is just a sign that you are human and have emotions. if you want you can get in contact with the person to find out their status through the officer that handled your police report. if his claim goes over what you pay for in your premium then one of two things will happen. your isnrauce will go up, (but its best to change teh bodliy injury anyway.) or they will drop you |

Are you asking, how badly injured was this person? No one here can know.
If you're asking, do you have enough coverage? Probably not. It's not too hard to wrack up $25,000 in medical costs, and that's the most your insurance company is going to pay, because that's your policy limit. A week off work, a couple MRI's, a dozen visits to a chiropractor, and some physical therapy, and you're going to be writing some checks for the difference, however much THAT is.
You can't do ANYTHING, at this point in time. Now it's up to your insurer.
But you SHOULD call your company, and increase your limit of coverage to $100,000/$300,000, so that if it happens again, at least YOU don't have to pay for it. |
