I got into car accident like 2 months ago, their insurance said not going to compensate?

I had gotten into a 3-way car accident around 2 months ago, I was in the front, a car rear-ended a van behind me, and the van rear-ended me as a result.
There were minor damages to the car, and i ended up going to the clinic for neck injuries for 2 weeks.

We decided to settle the case instead of taking legal action, and now they're saying that are not going to pay me any money... how does that work? What are my alternatives?

there was no police report b/c we moved our cars prior to the police arriving.

Secondly, we were planning on suing before settling, but the attorney backed out b/c it was such a small case and she didn't want to hurt her reputation or something like that.

We only received money for car repairment, my doc sent a bill to them, and they said they weren't going to pay the medical costs nor give any compensation.

Sounds like you are not tort eligible. The threshold requirements vary from state to state. Some are monetary, some are verbal and in others you must sustain a "serious" injury. A soft tissue injury requiring only two weeks of treatment is not serious. If you have medical payment coverage or Personal Injury Protection coverage, your own policy will cover the meds. Your insurance company will then subrogate against the at fault party for recovery. If you are tort eligible, they should be paying the meds. Your claim for compensation is nominal. Maybe about $500 depending on the venue. Case values vary greatly from state to state.

You can still file suit, but for such a minor claim, I wouldn't bother. The insurance company will probably continue to defend their insured, or the MAY consider a nominal offer to avoid ongoing and costly litigation expenses.

You should ask them to explain why they are refusing to pay. After you have their reason, you will be better equipped to know how to proceed

Your attorney backed out, because the claim isn't WORTH anything.

If the guy behind you had no injuries that needed medical treatment, then they are assuming your minor "injuries" were exaggerated. They don't HAVE to offer you any money. An attorney isn't going to work for 30% of $1,000 on a case like this, assuming your medical bills were even that high.

Discount any chiro bills - soft tissue injuries self resolve in a few weeks, even without "medical treatment".

If you want to hire a lawyer, at $250 an hour, I'm sure you can. But I doubt you'll even get your legal fees out of it. Just because you got hit, doesn't mean you're getting a huge payout.

They fixed your car. You're perfectly fine now. They did right by you.

Get a lawyer and go to court! Just how you where smart enough to keep the accident report.

Strangely enough, insurance companies don't care about us too much. If it was me, I'd first try to just get a letter from a lawyer threatening to go to court....that's the least expensive way. If they don't go for that (which is very likely) then you must hire an attorney and sue them for damages.
From personal experience, take lots of daily notes of what's taking place, who you're talking to, etc., and listen to your lawyer.

Try a pleasant letter to start with and see what their answer says. Then if they offer nothing I suggest you try one of these companies that offer 'no win no bill' to see if they will take on your case.
