Since you have the passenger restriction, that means that you are under 18 & have a Provisional License.
Failure to obey the restrictions, can ultimately cost you your license until age 18 or possibly even until age 21. It is very likely that if you had no prior citations, you may get off with just a citation (not a cheap one either) and a point on your license. If a teen driver with a Provisional License obtains 2 points in 12 months on their license, your license is sanctioned with a 30 day restriction. If you would accrue 3 points in 12 months- your license is suspended.
Being issued a driver's license is only a privilege, not a right. The state of California is under NO obligation to ever in your lifetime issue you a license. If you cannot show that you are responsible enough to obey the rules & regulations of having the privilege, then that privilege can and will be taken away from you- either temporarily or permanently. |
